Accounting Technician
Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager – Financial Accounting, the Accounting Technician will play a support role within the current finance department. The accounting technician will work with various stakeholders within the company to ensure the accuracy of the monthly financial information. He will also work in collaboration with the Financial Analyst – Financial Accounting. This team will support all of Norbec’s sites.
Job Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations;
- Preparation of monthly credit card reconciliations;
- Processing of commission reports and revisions of calculations;
- Preparation of Canadian and U.S. tax returns;
- Assistance in the preparation of one-time and annual audit files;
- Participation in financial analyses, account follow-ups and preparation of various reports;
- Participation at the end of the monthly period;
- Participation in improvement projects;
Education and experience required
- Completed D.E.C. in Accounting;
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an accounting technician (full accounting cycle);
- Experience in the manufacturing sector is an asset.
Key skills required
- Proficiency in the Office suite and more particularly advanced Excel;
- Having previously worked with an ERP;
- Excellent communication skills in French and English, spoken and written;
- Knowledge of Epicor ERP (asset).
Starting Salary : 51,000$ annually
