Credit manager
Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager – Operational Accounting, the Accounts Receivable Manager participates in activities related to the granting of credit, the collection of amounts due and customer management from a credit perspective, while ensuring that financial risks are properly assessed and controlled.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure the follow-up and collection of accounts receivable;
- Proactively monitor credit risk and minimize exposure to bad debt;
- Negotiate payment arrangements with customers in compliance with internal credit rules;
- Research, investigate and resolve accounts receivable issues – including unapplied or erroneously applied payments;
- Resolve problems by communicating effectively by phone and email with internal and external clients;
- Proactively review and release all pending orders;
- Reconcile problematic accounts;
- Record all information related to collection, credit and all other information related to customers in the computer system, so that this information is accurate, up-to-date and accessible to all;
- Proceed with the entry of customer payments and proceed with debit and credit card payments;
- Recommend credit limits for new customers and review those for active customers;
- Recommend the amount of deposit required for contracts that require it, based on the client’s credit experience;
- Obtain credit inquiries on customers;
- Participate in the year-end process;
- Production and distribution of weekly and monthly reports;
- Perform various related tasks related to credit, collection and accounts receivable;
- Management of the mailbox and redistribution to the team.
Education and experience required
- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business or experience deemed equivalent;
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in accounts receivable management including collection, financial risk analysis, borrower credit assessment and credit decision-making.

- Able to communicate effectively with clients, team, management, and other stakeholders;
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with the use of credit management and automation software tools;
- Knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations;
- Perfectly bilingual, French / English
Starting salary : 56,000$ annually
