BI Specialist and Data Analyst
Position Summary
As a BI Specialist & Data Analyst, you will play a key role in data analysis, reporting and analytics tools to support strategic decision-making within the business. You will work closely with different departments to identify and prioritize data-related initiatives, drive data-driven decision-making across the organization, and ensure alignment with overall business strategy and goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze the needs in collaboration with the different internal teams to understand their reporting and data analysis requirements, identifying the relevant KPIs (key performance indicators);
- Design and develop interactive reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI to provide actionable insights to stakeholders;
- Extract and transform data using SQL to extract, cleanse and transform data from multiple sources, ensuring its integrity and quality;
- Model data by creating efficient and optimized data models to facilitate analytics and ad-hoc queries;
- Ensure the ongoing maintenance of existing reports and dashboards, ensuring their accuracy and performance;
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the tools developed;
- Identify and prioritize data-related initiatives, thereby enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization while ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and objectives;
- Train users on the use of reports and dashboards, and provide technical support to resolve any issues;
- Lead initiatives to improve data literacy across the organization, enabling colleagues to become more effective at analyzing and interpreting data;
- Stay up to date on the latest trends in Business Intelligence, Power BI and SQL, and propose improvements to optimize processes and analytics.
Education and experience required
- University degree in computer science, data analytics, engineering science or a related field;
- Hands-on experience using Power BI for interactive report and dashboard design.
