Position Summary

Reporting to the IT manager, the developer will be required to design, produce, test, implement and maintain applications that support business processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Carry out IT development projects according to the priorities established in the IT Strategic Plan, within the prescribed deadlines;
  • Support existing applications;
  • Ensure the quality of applications;
  • Optimize code and ensure data security;
  • To provide technical support to users;
  • Discover issues, test solutions, and deploy patches when needed.
  • Participate in Norbec’s technology watch and support technological choices
  • Perform the coding according to the specifications of the analysis document;
  • Write and execute system test scenarios;
  • Participate in the production of applications;
  • Ensure follow-up during the post-implementation period;
  • Maintain application procedures and documentation;
  • Ensure the maintenance of existing applications;
  • Establish effective communication with team members and other stakeholders.

Education and experience required

  • University degree in computer science or computer engineering;
  • 5 or more years of experience in .Net application development (C#).

Key skills required

  • Be comfortable with the .Net computer language (C#, VB), (Essential);
  • Fluency in English and French (spoken and written);
  • Have a good knowledge of IT development methodologies, relational databases and SQL Server;
  • Knowledge of ERP solutions (epicor), VBA, SSRS, HTML, Jira, git.;
  • Expertise in web development (ASP.net, React).
