Draughtsman
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Design Manager, the draftsman is mainly responsible for generating, in a continuous and rigorous manner, a high flow of approval drawings, from sales proposals, order confirmations and the various sources of information available. The draftsman must also work closely with the draftsmen and project managers to ensure adequate production, optimal execution and the smooth running of ongoing projects. He must ensure that the plant is supplied with a continuous flow and thus prevent any “breakage” that could cause a production stoppage.
The incumbent is responsible for raising any anomalies detected and notifying his or her immediate supervisor through effective communication, acting with judgment and taking the necessary actions to rectify the anomalies.
Job Responsibilities
- Draw up approval plans.
- Conduct revisions to approval plans.
- Draw assembly plans.
- Collect project-specific information from the project leader.
- Participate in departmental objectives and the continuous improvement process.
- Respond to internal support requests.
- Prioritize your work through the planning schedule.
- Perform all other related tasks related to the position.
Education and experience required.
- D.E.P. in building design, industrial design or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar position for a manufacturing company in a related environment.
Key skills required.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD software.
- Reading plans and specifications.
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
Starting Salary : 51,000$ annually
