Financial Analyst
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Team Leader – Financial Accounting, the Financial Analyst will work with the Team Leader and a Financial Accounting Technician. This team will support all Norbec sites.
As part of the position, the Financial Analyst will be required to pilot several ERP implementation projects aimed at improving productivity, the quality of accounting operations and internal controls of the company. He/she will also be required to prepare analyses and recommendations that will allow the company to have a good view of the financial aspects. The analyst will be involved in the budgeting and financial forecasting process.
Job Responsibilities:
ERP implementation (70%)
- Direct involvement in the ERP implementation project at Norbec. In the short/medium term, more specifically participate in the following projects:
o Avalara implementation
o EFP implementation (results and budgets)
o Implementation of optimization for bank reconciliation
o Implementation – Commissions
o Implementation – Digitization of payables
o Implementation – Digitization of accounting analysis
- Participate in the implementation of new financial processes
Financial analysis (10%)
- Participate in the production of ad hoc financial analyses according to the needs of the company
- Collaborate with managers and other employees in the development and analysis of investment requests
Budgets and financial forecasts (10%)
- Participation in various annual and other budgetary exercises
- Involvement in the budget follow-up with the directors
Financial reporting (5%)
- Participate in the analysis of results, explain variances with the budget and with previous periods
- Support the team leader in presenting results to the controller
- Identify and propose internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial data
Compliance and ad hoc requests (5%)
- Participation in external audit files
- Support the Financial Accounting Team Leader in certain ad hoc requests
Key competencies:
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines

- Mastery of the Office suite and more specifically Excel
- Experience working with an ERP system
- Bilingualism, spoken and written
- Knowledge of SQL (asset)
- Knowledge of Power BI (asset)
- Knowledge of ERP Epicor (asset)
Professional Profile:
- 2 to 3 years experience in a similar position
- CPA or CPA in progress or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Results oriented
- Thoroughness and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate
