1.      POSITION SUMMARY
 
Reporting to the Director of Financial Performance (or Manager – Operational Excellence and Finance Projects), the analyst will have a crucial role in optimizing systems and processes to support the organization’s strategic objectives and improve the efficiency of the finance department. The first project to be devoted to is the deployment of the corporate project for the digitization of the accounts receivable cycle. After this main mandate, he will be assigned to various projects to improve the financial processes and tools used by the financial accounting, operational accounting and financial performance groups.  
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
   
Act as a business analyst for finance-related projects and specific mandates arising from the company’s strategic plan, the first mandate being the digitization of the payables cycle;   Needs analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their objectives and needs for an initiative to improve tools and processes. Conduct interviews, workshops to collect and document detailed business needs. Carry out various analyses in order to produce a diagnosis of the gaps between the current situation and the desired situation;   Project Management: Participate in the planning, monitoring and coordination of projects. Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and proactively address them to keep projects on track.   Communication: Effectively communicate ideas and plans to multidisciplinary team members and management;     Testing and Validation: Develop test plans and scenarios to validate that IT solutions/process change meet business requirements. Coordinate user acceptance testing and facilitate feedback loops between users and stakeholders.   Change Management: Support change management activities to ensure the smooth adoption of new systems and processes. Develop training materials, conduct training sessions and provide end-user support.   Stakeholder Engagement: Establish strong relationships with the various stakeholders in the organization, including the IT team, to ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions;   Continuous improvement: Driving value creation in the finance department in Agile mode. Keep abreast of trends in accounting best practices/tools. Recommend process improvements and innovative solutions to increase effectiveness and efficiency.    
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PROFILE
  • B.B.A. with a concentration in IT/Accounting or a bachelor’s degree in IT with experience in finance projects
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with an ERP system (if Epicor is an asset)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good project management skills and respect for deadlines
  • Experience in the digitization of a purchasing process (asset)
  • Knowledge of Power BI and/or SQL (asset)
  • Bilingualism, both oral and written,

Starting salary $61,000.00 annually
