Maintenance Supervisor
Job Summary
Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor has the responsibility of supervising, planning and implementing all maintenance and facility activities for the site. Since this is a greenfield startup, their job will include the population and administration of the maintenance software system, as well as various equipment and facility related responsibilities required for a greenfield project. This job is primarily a Monday to Friday, day shift role, with the requirement to temporarily cover night shift or weekends as needed to support the business.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining safe working conditions and practices to ensure the safety of the employees.
- Contribute to the successful operation of the operating line as required by your role: troubleshooting, issue resolution, improvements, repairs and more
- Disseminate projects into specific assignable tasks and distribute using a work order system
- Ensure the accurate and safe execution of operations and maintenance tasks under your supervision
- Analyze and improve the performance of maintenance team and equipment based on production feedback and uptime data
- Write equipment PM’s as necessary to ensure the ongoing reliable operation of the facility and equipment.
- Issue PM’s to maintenance team. Follow up on issues and concerns from the generated PM’s to update them or create work orders as necessary.
- Responsible for communicating relevant information to maintenance employees (customer related, safety, quality, priorities etc.)
- Quote parts and services necessary to maintain the equipment and facility to a high standard.
- Authorize maintenance related purchase orders
- Develop work instructions for infrequent maintenance tasks
- Supervise or execute the necessary tasks to ensure proper stockroom inventory
- Maintain inventories in ERP software—perform cycle counts, inventory adjustments, etc;
- Collaborate with external partners as required to improve the function of your department
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Participate in special projects, tasks related to continuous improvement, 5S;
- Perform other duties as required to support operations, including the covering absences and vacation as required
- Participate in the hiring and training of maintenance team.
- This job is envisioned as one that is a hands-on role where approximately 50% of the job is hands on maintenance related and 50% is administrative functions.
Education and Experience Required
- Qualifications in a technical field relevant to manufacturing, such as
- 7 Years minimum experience in manufacturing maintenance or manufacturing engineering environment.
- Certification in a trade relative to manufacturing, or Diploma or degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or Equivalent experience with solid background in industrial maintenance involving electrical, hydraulic and mechanical processes.
- Familiar with automated production equipment.

Starting Salary : 75,000K annually.
