Under the supervision of the Plant Engineering and Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing and supervising the work of the employees under his/her responsibility. He/she is mainly responsible for preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance of equipment and parts management. He/she ensures compliance with health and safety regulations by applying safe practices.


  • Supervise the maintenance team (electromechanics, control technician and maintenance technologist), supervise and train them;
  • Ensure the progress of optimization and reliability work (work methods, drawings, CAD plan updates, etc.);
  • Supervise and follow up on preventive, corrective and improvement maintenance work and interventions with the technical team;
  • Forecast labour requirements with external agencies;
  • Ensure the application of health, safety and environmental standards;
  • Plan daily and weekly preventive and corrective work on the various mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment in the plant and building;
  • Coordinate the work and ensure the follow-up with external contractors (safety, quality of work, cost and completion deadlines);
  • Prepare interventions (resources, spare parts, downtime) and ensure the follow-up of operations;
  • Be responsible for updating preventive measures for modifications or new installations, for stocking spare parts and for updating technical documentation;
  • Manage current and future equipment/parts supply needs in collaboration with the management and supply team;
  • Purchase spare parts and follow up on purchase orders and invoicing;
  • Be directly involved in operations when necessary;
  • Collaborate on special projects such as the installation of new equipment and others.

Professional profile

  • DEP or DEC in electromechanics of automated systems;
  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing personnel in the manufacturing field;
  • Mastery of the Office software suite;
  • Fluency in French, oral and written;
  • Knowledge of English;
  • Good understanding of the constraints of all departments: production, sales, technical, supply, administration.
