Job Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll report to the Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of production equipment and plant facilities.

  • Follow and promote the Health, Safety and Hygiene rules in the workplace
  • Support the production line as needed, including process and machine diagnostics, repairs, troubleshooting, modifications, and other related tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with operators and supervisors to improve our operational uptime and efficiency
  • Perform maintenance activities on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and chemical delivery systems
  • Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for preventive maintenance and work orders
  • Contribute to preparations for general plant shutdowns; participate in execution, support demobilization and plant start-up activities of new product launches
  • Participate in line installation, startup, improvements, parts purchasing
  • Work with subcontractors, offering direction and problem-solving as needed

Education and Experience Required

  • Diploma in Automated Systems Electromechanics, Maintenance Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in an automated manufacturing environment
  • Skilled trades certifications such as 309A, 442A, 433A, or 426A are assets, but not required

Key skills Required

  • Experience with electrical system troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Allen-Bradley RSlogix5000 programming is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative team spirit.
  • Knowledge of welding, assembly and machining
  • Be autonomous, resourceful, rigorous and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work safely under pressure

Expected hours: 40 per week
