Position Summary

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Injection Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and supervising the work of the employees under his or her responsibility. He is also responsible for the proper management and coordination of his production department (efficient, in accordance with quality standards, on time and on cost). In addition, he ensures compliance with health and safety rules by applying safe practices. He works closely with the other departments of production, planning, engineering, purchasing, design, etc.).

Job Responsibilities

  1. Planning and monitoring of the established production schedule by optimizing resources (human, material, etc.).
  2. Supervision of daily production operations to ensure optimal efficiency and minimize downtime.
  3. Ensure that quality standards and work procedures are respected.
  4. Solve operational problems and production barriers, in collaboration with relevant departments.
  5. Identify opportunities to improve its production department to increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve quality.
  6. Implement continuous improvement initiatives and ensure project management in collaboration with R&D while encouraging innovation within the production team.
  7. Participate in the recruitment, integration, probation and training process of employees in his/her department.
  8. Evaluate employee performance, set objectives and conduct follow-ups.
  9. Validate hours worked in the system and track attendance.
  10. Monitor performance indicators and objectives related to production.
  11. Analyze production data to identify problems or trends and implement corrective actions.
  12. Ensure compliance with health and safety rules and procedures.
  13. Promote and educate employees about safe work practices.
  14. Identify OHS risks or improvements in your department and propose prevention or corrective actions.
  15. Conduct appropriate disciplinary or administrative follow-ups with employees under their supervision.

Education and experience required.

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in personnel management in the manufacturing field.
  2. Experience in project management (at the production level).
  3. Good technical knowledge (product, process) to support your work team.
  4. Good understanding of the constraints and challenges of all departments.

Key skills required.

  • Proficiency in Office suite software.
  • Good knowledge of an ERP (asset).
  • Fluency in French, oral and written.
  • Knowledge of English (asset).
  • Autonomy, sense of initiative, versatility and good judgment.
  • Innovative spirit (alternative solutions).
  • Good tolerance for stress and open to a flexible schedule that may require occasional presence outside of normal working hours.

Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.

Staring salary $73,000.00 annually
