Quality Assurance Analyst
Position Summary
Reporting to the Application IT Manager, the Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the excellence of each solution delivered to Norbec’s technology team, so that it fully meets customer needs and creates value for them. To do this, the quality assurance analyst will have to develop a solid understanding of the company’s processes, as well as its application park, of which the ERP system is the heart. The Quality Assurance Analyst will also be required to document their work and knowledge, contributing to organizational memory. Finally, the quality assurance analyst will validate the application development carried out, in order to prevent the deployment of bugs.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the business analyst to clarify the requirements and identify the flaws they contain;
- Contribute to the definition of the criteria for acceptance of requirements;
- With the rest of the scrum team, determine when the requirements are ready to be developed;
- Define testing strategies;
- Write test scenarios;
- Document test results;
- Perform manual (and automated testing – an asset);
- Identify bugs, document them clearly and coordinate their resolution with the development team;
- Approve the development, for user validation;
- Involve the end-user in a User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase;
- Analyze bugs identified by the user;
- Train the user on how the applications work;
- Obtain user approval for development;
- Participate in the analysis of application incidents;
- Assist in the development of solutions to application incidents;
- Prepare and execute tests of solutions to application incidents in an accelerated manner.
Education and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a field relevant to the job;
- 3-5 years of experience in an IT development team;
- Experience with automated testing solutions is an asset;
- Knowledge of the C# programming language is an asset;
- Certification in agility/scrum/DevOps, an asset;
- Experience with Epicor preferred, or another ERP system, an asset;
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.

Starting Salary : 67,000$ annually
