Shipping-Receiving-Processing Manager
Position Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Shipping-Receiving-Converting Manager is responsible for shipping-receiving, panel converting and yard operations. He has to plan and optimize the various aspects of these sectors on a daily basis, as well as the health and safety and quality of shipments. He is also responsible for controlling and maintaining the plant’s inventories.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure the active supervision of its employees and supervise them through a mobilizing coaching approach focused on performance management;
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and procedures;
- Maintain a good work environment that promotes respect, teamwork and productivity;
- Ensure that staff follow the procedures in place; Hold weekly meetings on health and safety, KPIs and current progress;
- Ensure the follow-up of employee training;
- Forecasting operational labour needs and assigning staff to the right positions;
- Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, probation and employee process;
- Conduct appropriate disciplinary or administrative follow-ups with employees under his/her supervision;
- Keep the warehouse and outdoor yard clean and safe at all times;
- Ensure the maintenance of inventories and perform cycle counts;
- Ensure good collaboration with related sectors (Production, Purchasing, Maintenance, Truckers/Carriers, Logistics, Procurement, etc.)
- Listen to employees’ opinions and suggestions;
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Education and experience required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in personnel management in the field of shipping and transport.

Starting salary : 72,000$ annually
