Team Leader Business Intelligence
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Business Intelligence Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation and management of the Business Intelligence strategy. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, gather requirements, and provide data-driven insights that enable informed decisions. This role requires a strong mix of technical expertise, analytical skills, and strategic thinking.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data on BI platforms through data governance and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable insights and ensure their satisfaction
- Coordinate the tasks of the BI analyst team and the external data engineer team
- Identify opportunities to improve data-driven decision-making processes and increase operational efficiency.
- Perform testing to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and functionality of system changes and enhancements.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the field of business intelligence, assessing their potential impact on the organization’s business intelligence capabilities.
- Manage the full lifecycle of BI projects, from requirements gathering and solution design to implementation and deployment.
- Define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements, ensuring projects are completed on budget and on schedule with Jira
- Track the progress of projects, identify risks and issues, and take proactive steps to mitigate them.
- Manage the data lake and data warehouse using Azure Synapse serverless SQL pools
- Monitor Azure resource usage and cost optimization
- Evolving data science and business intelligence expertise, methods and tools
- Act as a lead for certain projects
- Ensure security, infrastructure resilience and data protection, reducing associated risks;
- Ensure the consistency of the system data architecture in collaboration with the technical teams;
- Act as a trainer as needed, providing training sessions for internal users.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Education and Experience:
- Degree in computer science, statistics, information systems management, or a related field.
- Significant professional experience (5 years minimum) in a similar role in business intelligence.
- Technical skills:
- Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, etc.).
- Strong SQL and database modeling skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Synapse, Fabric) is a plus.
- Analytical skills:
- Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret complex data and provide clear, actionable recommendations
- Attention to detail
- Project Management Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in project management.
- Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communication skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-specialists.
- Bilingualism, both oral and written, in French and English;
- Other Skills:
- Team player and ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Initiative and ability to work independently.
Starting Salary : 81,000$ annualy
