DOE & NRCan are respectively the US and Canadian institutions regulating energy efficiency of manufactured products. In order to be listed with their data base NRCan requires a third party verification of the perfomance of each product listed.

NSF is a third party certification that prides itself in being the leading global provider of public health and safety-based risk management solutions.
