Sustainability and Innovation for Molson
Come and discover our Molson Coors project, one of the few industrial sites in Canada to aim for LEED certification.

Indeed, an innovation was developed specifically for this project around a new anchoring system that increased the anchoring capacities by almost 30%. The IMPs required the single anchor due to the height of the building and the spacing of the structural elements.
By developing this anchor, Norbec is now able to address specific structural constraints that would have previously required structural modifications to the building. The installation process for the anchor is more time consuming due to its larger size. However, the additional tightening cost is minimal compared to the cost of modifying a steel structure.
The facility is part of Molson Coors’ transformation from one of Canada’s oldest brewers to a modern, progressive brewer. The new plant is the company’s most integrated and versatile operation. It serves the local domestic market and is capable of producing beer and other brands.
“Participating in this type of large-scale project is always stimulating,” says Alexandre Belisle. A building from a major Canadian company, made with local products, is something to be proud of.
