Norbec Announces Acquisition of Canadian Curtis to Strengthen Long-Term Service for Canadian Customers and Reinforce Canadian Manufacturing Leadership
Stoney Creek, Ontario, March 9th, 2026 – Norbec®, a leading Canadian manufacturer specializing in Walk-In Coolers and Freezers and Insulated Metal Panels, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Canadian Curtis®, a long-standing manufacturer recognized for its expertise in the design and construction of Walk-In Cooler and Freezer Rooms.
This acquisition reinforces Norbec’s long-term commitment to serving Canadian customers through a strong and sustainable operating platform. By combining operational excellence with a continued focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience, Norbec is strengthening its ability to provide reliable service and long-term value across its key markets. Curtis further strengthens Norbec’s presence in Ontario and supports the company’s growth strategy by expanding local market access and service capabilities.
As part of this acquisition, Norbec will be integrating Canadian Curtis activities and customer commitments into its organization. Norbec will work closely with customers and partners to ensure continuity and clarity throughout the transition process.
Following an integration period, Canadian Curtis manufacturing operations will be closed and fully integrated into Norbec’s existing operations. Norbec is welcoming Canadian Curtis employees for continued employment where possible and will support affected team members throughout the transition, including opportunities within Norbec’s newly built manufacturing facility in Strathroy, Ontario.
Customers will continue to be supported throughout the transition and beyond, with a clear focus on service continuity and reliability.
